World Cup 2010 - 4 Days Left

With only 4 short days left till the big kick off in South Africa, England are very prepared mentally and physically. Fabio Capello has lost Rio Ferdinand the captain due to injury he sustained in training last week it was a very big loss because Rio has featured in the last two world cups and was very prepared until he suffered this injury this adds to the 2 big name list who are out with injuries other player been David Beckham. With the loss of Ferdinand, Fabio Capello has called up Michael Dawson to the England Squad. England first game is on June 12th up against USA, with the Americans been on form lately it will sure be a tough test. America`s goalkeeper Tim Howard has hailed Wayne Rooney as the best striker in the world better than the likes of Villa and Drogba who have had a tremendous season in club level. England are ranked among the three favorites to win the world cup with the other two teams been Spain and the Joga Bonito "Playing Beautifully" Brazil. Who many believe they won`t be strong this time as the past with great players like Adriano, Ronaldinho and Pato shockingly not been called up to the final 23 man squad many believe that the great playing samba Brazilian team don`t have that spice and talent anymore. Players like Ronaldo, Cafu, Carlos, Rivaldo, Denilson and Ronaldinho who made that samba style for Brazil ain`t there anymore so will see if Brazil can play that great Brazilian football we all know them from once again following the big upset from the last 2006 fifa world cup. The stars that are expected to shine brightly this world cup are Kaka, Rooney, Messi, E`to and Torres, so with only 4 days left till the big kick off the world has been waiting for 4 years will their shine on the big stage in South Africa come Friday will have to see.

Frank Lampard & Steven Gerrard - Englands`s Midfield Stars

Liverpool's captain Steven Gerrad doesn't just score beautiful tremendous plenty of goals, crowd along on a wave of emotion. He has proved to all the world that his still world class player maybe even one of the best we have seen. Not only that, he's always had the knack of rising to the occasion, demonstrated recently by strikes in back-to-back Merseyside derbies.

. Gerrad is loved at Anfield by all the fans he has shown loyalty all these years, playing and training very hard for club and country he always gives it all maximum 100% Frank Lampard will prove his worth all the money when a big game comes and shows the world that he is better than Steven Gerrad but with both players known as world class, for England there can`t get the job down together that has been the big case for many of years.

As a result, he probably takes more risks than his counterpart in possession, which inevitably leads to the odd ball going astray. But Gerrard has tempered his ambition over the years, those hit-and-miss passes attempted much less. Also with age comes better judgment in the tackle. He rarely gets lured into taking drastic action. Red mist and late lunges seem a thing of the past in someone well aware of his on-field responsibilities.

That growing maturity, what's more, has made the 28 year-old more responsive to playing somewhere other than in his favored central position, even though that doesn't happen much with Liverpool these days. Rafa Benitez either plays him in the middle or as a second striker. At first when Gerrard stopped playing in the central role many people around the world criticized that he wont get the job done, but he proved everyone wrong and has played very good since his switch to more winger and second striker role.

Reason that is he always works hard every time every single year to help both his country and his club, he has also been named player of the year once which is why he is always starting 11 for England in every game he never gets dropped.

Lampard

In contrast to Gerrard, it is easy at times to miss the contributions of this highly motivated individual such is the wonderful simplicity of his passing game. One or two touches, he rarely takes more when that middle ground becomes unbearably congested. Lampard scores many goals for club but for national he hasn't proved anything and he need to work a bit harder because many people around the world all his fans say that him and Gerrad cannot play together well.

"Fabio Capello" --There is no one better at it either no-one more skilled in the art of the quick-fire pass under pressure, having expertly worked out distances and angles before the ball arrives at his feet. When the ball arrives in Lampard`s feet before he even moves he always makes a decision on what he is going to do, he times his pass and shows his genius for many years he has proved it both for national and club. Many people are not very sure who is the better player but all that doesn't matter becuase this summer in the world cup both have to play good for England

From a positional point of view, he is probably more disciplined than Gerrard although many say that is not the case as Gerrard has proved over the years that he is more disciplined now than before , more suited to following a rigid game plan. Never was this firm grasp of tactics better showcased than during England's 4-1 win in Croatia last September when Lampard sat deep to provide defensive cover – a performance all the more worthy given his natural game.Which is what Lampard loves doing in tough games he will drop back and cover right behind the defenders he has proved that multiple of times in games with Brazil and Mexico this past May.

An unquenchable thirst for practice undoubtedly helps. There aren't many footballers who can honestly say they've done everything humanly possible to reach their full potential. Lampard can. The ultimate pro, he's a credit to the game. He has proved and showed all the fans who even hate him that at over 30s he can still lead his club to gold and might do it again and lead his country to gold this summer.
